$50 will sponsor a child’s education costs for an entire year! 2010 was a very difficult Winter in Mongolia. The temperatures hovered at -30 below zero, following a very dry summer. These conditions, called a zuud in Mongolia, are devastating for livestock. While herders would traditionally be able to sell some livestock to buy textbooks or school supplies for their children, for many this year it will be a struggle to simply feed their families.

We are seeking sponsors willing to support a child through elementary and secondary school. Currently only $50 is needed each year to cover the costs of textbooks and supplies.

We are offering several scholarships for promising rural secondary school students who would like to become teachers in their home district. $500 is the amount needed for room/board and tuition for one year.
